Bad Roman Lighting Design

Bad Roman Lighting Design

A restaurant-wide commercial lighting commission for Bad Roman's Beverly Hills flagship, eight sculptural LED chandeliers, a signature illuminated centerpiece, and eight hand-blown helium neon sconces, delivered on an accelerated timeline other fabricators couldn't meet. Featured in Dezeen, Hospitality Design, and TrendHunter. Neon Flamingo was commissioned to design and fabricate the complete lighting program for Bad Roman's Beverly Hills flagship, a restaurant-wide build spanning sculptural chandeliers, a signature illuminated centerpiece, and hand-blown glass neon wall sconces, developed in close collaboration with GRT Architects, the Brooklyn-based studio behind the restaurant's interior design. The 3,570-square-foot space, occupying the former Palm Steakhouse site on North Canon Drive, has been widely covered as one of the most talked-about restaurant openings of the year, with the lighting singled out as central to the room's atmosphere.

Puma & Rose Speedcat Neon Sign

Puma & Rose Speedcat Neon Sign

A freestanding 10-foot by 12-foot neon sign built in 2.5 weeks for Puma's Speedcat campaign with Blackpink's Rosé, engineered to withstand extreme desert winds, hand-aged to look sun-worn, and later installed again in Las Vegas for the F1 race weekend. Neon Flamingo designed, engineered, and fabricated a freestanding, roadside-style neon sign for Puma's Speedcat campaign, starring Blackpink's Rosé. The brief: a 10-foot-wide, 12-foot-tall freestanding sign, built to look like it had been standing in the California desert for decades, on a turnaround of roughly two and a half weeks. It became one of the largest and most technically demanding pieces Neon Flamingo has ever built, and one of the proudest.

Fine Artist Commissions

Fine Artist Commissions

Neon Flamingo fabricates neon works for working fine artists, translating gallery and museum-bound concepts into precisely executed glass and light, for artists including Young Joon Kwak, noé olivas, Nathan Cheung, and Emanuel Hahn. Alongside commercial signage, film production pieces, and brand installations, Neon Flamingo fabricates neon artworks for working fine artists, translating a gallery or museum concept into precisely bent glass and controlled light. This is a distinct kind of collaboration, built around an artist's own vision rather than a business brief, and it's some of the most rewarding work the studio takes on.

Netflix Office Hologram Neon Instillation

Netflix Office Hologram Neon Instillation

A 10' x 12' hybrid neon and LED hologram installation built for Netflix's Sunset Boulevard office, blending hand-bent neon with five hologram "TVs" into a signature piece on the cafeteria-level guest tour route. Neon Flamingo and Ronthekiller were commissioned to design and fabricate a large-scale custom neon and LED hologram installation for Netflix's Sunset Boulevard office in Los Angeles, located on the 13th floor of the Icon Building. Positioned at the cafeteria level, a high-traffic area where employees across the building gather daily, the piece has become a signature stop on the company's internal guest tours.

Last Book Store Vintage Sign Recreation

Last Book Store Vintage Sign Recreation

An exact recreation of The Last Bookstore's iconic DTLA neon sign for their new Studio City/North Hollywood location, hand-painted with aged sign techniques to match the original precisely, with a golden neon "book tunnel" Easter egg hidden on the reverse side. Neon Flamingo was commissioned by The Last Bookstore to recreate their iconic neon sign for a new location opening in Studio City/North Hollywood, an exact match of the sign that has lit up their original downtown Los Angeles flagship for years. The Last Bookstore is a true Los Angeles institution. Founded in 2005 by Josh Spencer, it grew into a 22,000-square-foot flagship inside a former bank building on Spring Street in DTLA, and has become one of the most beloved independent bookstores in the country, a genuinely fun, safe space for the community to read, browse, and experience art and culture. Spencer and his wife, Jenna, have built something rare: a bookstore that draws people in with a sense of wonder first, and keeps them coming back for the books. Their small sister shop, Lost Books, in Montrose, brings the same spirit to records, plants, and books on a smaller scale, and this project marks their next expansion, with a new location opening in Studio City/North Hollywood.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Vegas Replica Signs

Neon Flamingo was commissioned by Jimmy Kimmel to restore a roughly 20-foot-tall replica of the iconic Vegas Vic neon sign, originally built for a Las Vegas broadcast week of Jimmy Kimmel Live! The sign had been kept in storage along with several other massive Las Vegas-themed replica signs commissioned for the same production, until Kimmel decided it was time to let most of them go, and asked Neon Flamingo to bring Vegas Vic back to life for a permanent home in his office instead.

Aged by Hand — Custom “Vintage” Sign

Aged by Hand — Custom “Vintage” Sign

Custom-built neon signs, aged and weathered by hand to look like they've hung for decades, a specialized collaboration with sign painter Alicja Polachek for clients who want the character of vintage neon without the wait. Some things can't be bought, time is one of them. Neon Flamingo specializes in fabricating custom vintage neon signs, hand-aged to look like they've hung somewhere for decades: real texture, real patina, the specific kind of grit that only comes from years of light and weather. For clients who want the character of a true vintage neon sign without waiting decades for it to happen naturally, this is a specialized craft in its own right, not a repair, but a deliberate act of artistry.

Interior Designer Collaborations

Neon Museum Exhibition at Muzeo in Anaheim

Neon Museum Exhibition at Muzeo in Anaheim

A solo neon installation at Muzeo Museum & Cultural Center, where commercial-grade sign fabrication became fine art, reworking the visual language of signage into an original gallery narrative. Neon Flamingo's founder, Dani Bonnet, was commissioned for a solo neon installation at Muzeo Museum & Cultural Center in Anaheim, a 25,000-square-foot institution housed in the city's original Carnegie Library. The exhibition placed hand-fabricated glass neon inside a museum context, reframing a medium built for storefronts and marquees as a vehicle for original visual storytelling.

hello82 LA Neon Logo

hello82 LA Neon Logo

A large-scale neon logo built into a base of vintage vinyl records for hello82's Los Angeles headquarters, now the office centerpiece where visiting K-pop artists perform and take photos, running for years with almost no issues. Neon Flamingo designed and fabricated a large-scale custom neon logo for hello82, a K-pop entertainment company, at their Los Angeles headquarters. The brief came with a specific creative vision: incorporate real vinyl records into the sign itself, grounding a modern neon logo in the physical history of recorded music.

Vans x Dani Bonnet

Vans x Dani Bonnet

A fully creative commission for Vans' "Off the Wall" campaign, Neon Flamingo's Dani Bonnet was given complete artistic freedom and a real production budget the moment COVID hit, resulting in "Electric American Eagle," a piece featured across national press and Vans' own campaign materials. Neon Flamingo's Dani Bonnet was commissioned by Vans for their "Off the Wall" creator campaign, a program built to fund artists working across a range of creative disciplines. The result was Electric American Eagle, an original neon sculpture combining the American bald eagle with wads of cash, built as commentary on money, power, and freedom in America.

Electric Winter

Electric Winter

Electric Winter: Dani Bonnet's first curated art show, presented with Pabst Blue Ribbon at Innerspace Gallery in winter 2019, a sold-out night with a line around the block, a DJ set from Jerry Paper, and a full lineup of LA neon and mixed-media artists. In winter 2019, Dani Bonnet curated Electric Winter, a neon and mixed-media art exhibition presented in partnership with Pabst Blue Ribbon at Innerspace Gallery in Los Angeles. It was Dani's first time curating a show from the ground up, and the response exceeded anything anyone expected: a line stretched around the block to get in.
