A Backdrop Worth Building a Ritual Around
Every visiting artist who comes through the LA headquarters takes a photo in front of it. The sign stopped being office decor a long time ago. It is how SoundCloud presents itself to the artists it works with, across studio visits and industry meetings.
That significance extends well beyond the office walls. SoundCloud has taken the sign's presence to the Grammys and other major industry events, using it as a recognizable piece of brand identity at some of the music industry's biggest moments. For a platform built on connecting with artists, a neon sign has become genuine shorthand for the brand itself.

Built to Perform Under Real Use
A working backdrop takes wear a decorative piece never would, since artists lean right into it for photos. When contact has cracked the glass, we have turned repairs around in one to two weeks. Fast fixes are part of the relationship, so the backdrop is ready when the next artist walks in.
Why This Project Matters

A well-designed neon logo can turn into an asset a company builds moments around. This one shows what the studio does with commercial logo work: exact brand color matching, fabrication that survives daily use, and a long-term relationship that keeps a high-visibility piece running for years.
Client: SoundCloud (Los Angeles HQ)
Collaborator: Jhana Partis (floral wall design)
Scope: Custom neon logo sign, fabrication, installation, ongoing maintenance
