Reported drivers of the LED shift, per the sources below: lower running cost, longer service life, and easier shipping and installation for large pieces. Other research firms report different LED-share numbers for the same year (see the market-size caveat above). 44.2% is Coherent Market Insights' figure specifically, cited here because it's the most precisely sourced number we found, not a market-wide consensus.
