- What's the difference between LED neon and real glass neon?
- Glass neon is hand-bent tube filled with neon or argon gas — deeper colour, more presence, repairable, decades of life. LED neon is flexible LED tube on an acrylic backing: lighter, cheaper, shatter-resistant and easy to ship. Both look good; they suit different jobs and budgets.
- Is LED neon cheaper than glass neon?
- Usually noticeably cheaper, especially at larger sizes and for multi-colour designs. Where budget is the deciding factor, LED lets you have a bigger sign for the same money.
- Is LED neon safe for a kid's room or a busy space?
- Yes. It runs cool, it's low voltage and it won't shatter, which is why we recommend it for children's rooms, rental spaces, events and anywhere the sign gets knocked.
- Can LED neon be dimmed or remote controlled?
- Easily. Dimmers, remotes and colour-changing options are all available on LED, which is one of its genuine advantages over glass.
- Can LED neon be used outdoors?
- In a sealed, outdoor-rated build, yes — and in very exposed coastal positions it often outlasts glass. Say where it's going and we'll spec it accordingly.
