Neon art sits somewhere between sculpture and light. Every piece here started as a hand-drawn concept, was bent tube by tube over an open flame, filled with gas and electrified — the same craft that lit mid-century Los Angeles, used to make new work.
Pieces are available as originals and as commissions. If you've seen something here you want a version of, or you have an idea of your own, that conversation starts the same way: a sketch, a size and a wall.

Netflix Office Hologram Neon Instillation
Neon Flamingo and Ronthekiller was commissioned to design and fabricate a large-scale custom neon and LED hologram installation for Netflix’s Sunset Boulevard office in Los Angeles. Positioned at the cafeteria level — a high-traffic area where employees gather daily — the piece has become a signature stop on the company’s internal guest tours. The Concept The installation centers on five hologram “TVs,” each displaying animated snippets of Netflix’s most iconic original series. Rather than a straightforward sign or lightbox, the piece blends traditional hand-bent neon with LED hologram technology, creating a layered visual effect that reads as both nostalgic and futuristic — a nod to television’s evolution alongside Netflix’s own role in reshaping how stories get told. Fabrication & Engineering Challenges At 10 feet by 12 feet, this was one of the most technically demanding builds Neon Flamingo has taken on. Key challenges included: • Hybrid lighting integration — merging glass neon fabrication with LED hologram display units into a single cohesive structure • Concealed wiring and power routing — working directly with licensed electricians to route all wiring and installation hardware so nothing was visible from the front-facing side of the piece • Structural mounting — engineering the piece to safely support five hologram units plus neon elements at scale, in a permanent corporate installation • Code compliance — coordinating electrical work to meet safety standards for a piece running continuously in an active workplace The result is a clean, gallery-quality front presentation with none of the technical complexity showing through. Performance Since Installation The piece has been in continuous operation with minimal issues since it was installed, holding up under daily use in one of the busiest parts of the office. It’s now a featured stop on Netflix’s internal office tours, giving visitors and new hires a striking first impression near the cafeteria. Why This Project Matters This installation showcases what’s possible when traditional neon craftsmanship meets modern LED and hologram technology — built for a brand whose entire identity is about the future of screens and storytelling. It’s a strong example of Neon Flamingo’s capability with large-scale corporate installations, custom hologram integration, and complex multi-technology signage builds for major entertainment and media clients.

Neon art questions
- Do you take commissions for original neon art?
- Yes — commissioned art is a large part of the studio's work, from text pieces to layered figurative sculpture. Every commission starts as hand-drawn concept art and goes through a to-scale mockup before fabrication.
- How do I hang a neon art piece at home?
- Most interior pieces mount on standoffs or a concealed cleat fixed into studs, with the transformer hidden behind the work or remote-mounted. We supply the hardware and can install for you in the LA area.
- Can a neon artwork be dimmed?
- Yes, with the right transformer. Tell us at design stage — retrofitting dimming later means changing the transformer.
- Is neon art a good investment piece?
- Hand-bent glass is a genuine craft object with a long life, and unlike an imported LED sign it can be repaired and re-tubed indefinitely. We document each piece so it can be serviced or reinstalled correctly later.
