Los Angeles custom neon & LED pricing estimator
How much does a custom neon sign cost?
Pick a size and style close to what you are picturing. You will get a real ballpark from our own shop pricing. Every sign still gets an exact quote based on your actual design.
LED neon
Flex tubeStarting at
$350
Small, single stroke, one color. Our simplest build.
Glass neon
Hand bentStarting at
$750
Small, single stroke. Hand-bent glass tube and a transformer.
Why glass costs more than LED, and why the gap grows
LED neon flex scales gently with size. It is mostly material and labor per foot, with no big jumps. Glass neon costs more at every size for two reasons: a neon transformer alone costs significantly more than an LED power supply, and hand-bending glass tube is skilled, time-intensive labor. Going from single stroke (one line per letter) to double stroke (tracing the full outline) adds a modest amount on LED, since it is mostly more flex and labor. On glass, it roughly doubles the tube runs and mounting work, so the price reflects that.
Small is up to about 18" on the longest edge. Medium is roughly 48" wide by 20" tall. Large is roughly 6 ft wide by 30" tall. Your actual design may fall between bands.
Single stroke uses one line to form each letter, like handwriting. Double stroke traces the full outline of each letter for a bolder, more solid look. On LED it adds roughly $75 to $100 for the extra flex and labor. On glass it adds much more, since it roughly doubles the tube work, and small outlined glass is priced case by case.
Ranges reflect fabrication of the sign face itself. Custom backers, dimensional mounting, remote dimming and outdoor weatherproofing can shift the price outside these ranges.
A couple of size and style combinations are less common in our shop history, so those ranges are extrapolated from our real pricing pattern rather than pulled from completed jobs. Ask for a quote and we will confirm exact numbers.
These are planning estimates based on our own pricing, not a binding quote. Final price depends on your specific design, color count, materials, mounting and installation requirements.
